the cottage

Our cottage sits 100 yards from the harbour and has sea views from all four bedrooms. The sun terrace and upper deck give an even bettter view of the ever changing harbour and the sea beyond.

When the Ferry comes in  you need only amble down to meet it and if you look from the terrace you can even see your friends arriving from the boat. If you are feeling particularly lazy you can see if there is any bread left in the bakery window!

Two of the rooms are double, (one en suite) One on first floor the other on the second.  The other first floor bedroom has twin beds and the top floor "Cabin" room  has a single bed and truckle which would suit one adult or two small children.

The groundfloor is open plan with a slick galley kitchen a dining table, sofas, a log fire and an oak boarded floor.

The folding doors to the Terrace open all the way for sunny days. But if the wind blows and the rain lashes down (it is Cornwall!) come inside, close the shutters and curl up by the log fire.

Kids and adults alike can take sailing lessons.

Sailors come from all over the world to race in these waters and the sight of the Working Boats and Dragons racing into the evening sun will delight anyone's spirit.

For a special day why not hire "Pinucia" the sleekest vintage Italian Racing Yacht lovingly restored and kept by our neighbours at The Tresanton.

Tennis is available to book at the playing field which is accessable from a path behind the house.

Kids can play in the playground there too.

Visit St Mawes Castle on route along the coastal path to St Just and pass through fields of buttercups and ragged robin. When you arrive you can take a well deserved break and have tea in the lovely grounds next to St Just's famous church.

If you want to eat ON the beach, Rosevine beach holds  inimitable feasts at The Hidden Hut, or keep going on the coastal path,  where you arrive at Curgurrel Farm and its fish shop which sells freshly caught fish and the most delicious lobsters you can find on the south coast.
